Interior Decoration Services
Gypsum board is used as a covering material for interior walls and ceilings in residential and commercial buildings. It is also used as a dry wall partition and as a base for external soffits in sheltered positions.
Gypsum board is extensively used in drywall construction, where the plaster is eliminated. It is also available in the market with one surface covered with aluminum and another surface cover with the heat-reflecting type of foil or with imitation wood grain or another pattern on the exterior surface so that no extra decoration is required.
Gypsum boards are used in the houses for the walls (wallboards), ceilings (ceiling boards), exterior sheathing, fire-resistant partitions, and membranes. Single-layer gypsum boards are the most common in the residential sector. Due to the low cost and lesser construction time required, the demand for these boards in the residential sector is increasing significantly.
Sound Dampening Similar to its ability to help resist fire, gypsum board does a great job dampening outside sound as well. Moreover, the connected gypsum panels form strong, durable walls, which provides great structural integrity for the building.
Flexibility In comparison to other board types, gypsum board can be installed as an interior wall in a much shorter timespan than other wall panel options. In fact, plaster applications can take a week or more, when the same job can be done in a day or so using gypsum board.
